Automatic unit packaging machine in wrap around case. Cartons are glued from flat cardboard cuts, then formed and wrapped around a group of products.

The task of the wrap around case packaging system is to count the required number of unit packages and, in a specific configuration, pack them into a pre-formed case.

RKZ-18NG for packing products in wrap-around cases

Wrap around cardboard is the most frequently chosen collective packaging. Cardboard provides a tightly closed product, which allows for greater durability during palletization and further distribution. Due to the lower consumption of materials, wrap around cardboard is more economical than other collective packaging.

- Forming wrap-around cardboard
- Wrap-around carton warehouse, for manual insertion of flat carton cuts - warehouse capacity for 250 cartons. The warehouse is equipped with two separately powered belts and sensors for low and too low carton levels.
- The time needed to convert the machine to a different format is approximately 30 minutes
- Index carton feeder with stations: feeding, filling, forming and closing the carton
- Vacuum generator for picking up cartons from the warehouse
- Nordson ProBlue Flex glue applicator with glue guns
- Electric control cabinet with cooling unit
- PLC control with a color touch panel on a rotating arm
- FESTO pneumatics
- SICK sensors
- Speed up to 25 cases/min.
Grouping system:
- A section of conveyors that shoot the product at the appropriate speed into the grouping system
- Grouping system: placing individual products vertically and counting them via an index conveyor
- Pushing the product from the index conveyor in the desired quantity and creating groups via the comb driver mechanism
- The comb driver mechanism is equipped with an anti-collision system based on FESTO pneumatics
Cartoning system:
- Retrieving flat carton cuts from the warehouse using an electric arm with vacuum suction cups
- Moving a group of products into a preformed carton using a servo motor driven bulk feed arm
- Collective feed arm equipped with a mechanism for squeezing a group of products using a FESTO pneumatic drive
- Applying a glue path to the upper flap of the box using an electric drive mechanism with a glue gun
- Applying a glue line to the side flaps while the cardboard is passing through
- Closing the walls of the box using the closing head
- Sealed gluing support system equipped with vacuum suction cups
- Dispatching finished cartons from the cartoning machine to the receiving conveyor
