The machine forms wrap-around cases from flat cardboard blanks , which are then precisely folded and glued around the product.
The task of the wrap around case packaging system is to count the required number of products and pack them in a specific configuration into a pre-formed case.

Wrap-around case is the most frequently chosen case packaging. The case provides a tightly closed product, which guarantees increased durability during palletization and further distribution. Due to the lower consumption of materials, wrap around case is the most economical display case on the market. When designed correctly, its strength can match the RSC cases, while being cheaper to source as the case vendor will not charge you for the pre-gluing and folding of every case.

- Forming wrap-around case
- Wrap-around carton magazine, for manual insertion of flat carton cuts – magazine capacity for 250 cartons. The magazine is equipped with two separately powered belts and low and too low carton level sensors.
- The time needed to change-over the machine to a different format is approximately 30 minutes
- Index carton feeder with stations: feeding, filling, forming and closing the case
- Vacuum generator for feeding blanks from the carton magazine
- Nordson ProBlue Flex glue applicator with glue guns
- Electric control cabinet with cooling unit
- PLC control with touch panel on swing arm (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Schneider)
- FESTO pneumatics
- SICK sensors
- Speed up to 25 cases/min.
Grouping system:
- Shooting conveyors feeding the product into the case packer at correct speed
- Grouping system: placing individual products vertically and counting them via an index conveyor
- Pushing the product from the index conveyor in the desired quantity and creating groups via the comb pusher
- Comb pusher equipped with anti-collision system based on FESTO pneumatic
Cartoning system:
- Picking flat carton cuts from the magazine by an electric arm with vacuum suction cups
- Moving a group of products into a pre-formed carton using a servo motor-driven gripper
- Gripper equipped with a mechanism for squeezing the product using FESTO pneumatic
- Applying a glue path to the upper flap of the box using an electric drive mechanism with a glue gun
- Applying a glue line to the side flaps while the cardboard is passing through
- Closing the walls of the box using the closing head
- Discharging finished cases from the cartoning section onto a short outtake conveyor
